How is the Accent
laser used to reduce cellulite?
The Accent laser
treatment is usually done in the physician’s office. The hand held device is held
close to the skin and gently moved over the surface. The device does have a
cooling tip so that the heat energy is not felt as pain. The average treatment
times vary from 10-30 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
The results after Accent treatment are not immediate. The improvement is gradual and becomes evident after a few months. Since the treatment only produces a temporary reduction in cellulite, additional maintenance treatments are required to maintain the cosmetic benefit.
Soon after the
treatment, most individuals develop redness at the site, which disappears over
the next 2-4 hours.
Most individuals can
resume their normal activities within 24-48 hours. There is minimal pain or
swelling after the procedure
However, I should warn you that not everyone responds to the Accent laser and the cost per session is anywhere from $400-$900. There are no refunds if the treatment does not work. Best advice- leave the accent laser for the suckers who have money to waste.
