Buying a CPAP device for the home

Do CPAP machines work?
Yes, they do for sleep apnea. However, I should warn you that sleeping with these devices is no joke. The machine makes a continuous sound. In addition, you have a tight face or nose mask strapped around the face. Most people hate it. It is like a smothering effect. So before you buy such a device, try one on. Or get someone to put their hands on your face from behind and choke you- it is an awful experience.
The majority of people stop using these devices in 1 week. Most of these devices end up in the garage as junk, after having spent thousands of dollars. I definitely do not recommend anyone buying this machine before trying it out. Rent it out first. It is very uncomfortable to wear. Do not listen to doctors who tell you that the devices are comfortable-they are just trying to make a sucker out of you.
