Greenish stools

I recently returned from a trip in the Caribbean and noticed that I have several bouts of diarrhea with greenish looking stools. I do have some nausea but no abdominal pain. Is this normal?
No dummy, green stools and diarrhea are not normal. You may have acquired an infection that is causing  gastroenteritis. You really do not need to see a doctor if your symptoms are mild. Stool examination is not often productive and is a waste of money. In any case, I suggest you drink ample fluids, avoid milk related products for a few days. Do not use any medications that cause constipation and remain well hydrated. In the majority of cases of viral gastroenteritis, you will recover without any medical treatment.
See your doctor if the symptoms get worse, if you have fever, abdominal pain or blood in the stools. At present, just common sense home remedy should do the trick.
